A large industrial group required enhancements to existing IoT monitoring infrastructure across power generation and mining operations. Challenges included legacy device integration, localized alert requirements, and higher cybersecurity compliance.
UTECH’S SOLUTION
Utech delivered two customized software and firmware solutions tailored to different operational environments. In one implementation, the firmware of deployed Blackbox devices was modified to activate physical buzzer alarms whenever critical thresholds were exceeded, while the cloud portal was enhanced with advanced graphing and reporting capabilities. In the second implementation, a secure middleware architecture was engineered, including deployment of a dedicated portal on a client-managed server and firmware modifications to enable TLS-compliant data transmission from legacy 2G devices to a modern, highsecurity cloud platform.
